The John Betjeman play 'All Our Hellos and Goodbyes' finished its short run at the Gymnasium on Saturday 23rd June. The play was universally applauded by members of the public, LCR, the Betjeman Society and Betjeman's daughter Candida Lycett-Green. It even moved a few project engineers to tears. The play put into dramatic context how the passion and tenacity of one man helped to save the iconic and truly beautiful St Pancras station from demolition in 1967.

We all owe Sir John Betjeman a huge thank you. We also owe a big thank you to a fantastic cast - headed up by Julian Glover; a terrific script courtesy of Richard Shannon; an exciting production from Peter William Davies, John Farquhar Smith, Robert Gordon Clark, Lucy Barter and the rest of the team; and brilliant work by Laura Wise from the press team.

And of course our thanks go to a wonderful audience. Who gave their appreciation and support so vocally - even when the year's worst rainstorm and lighting managed to blow out both projectors on Saturday night.

It was a great run. Short, but very sweet.
